Nick’s Bio
Nick Armstrong has declared war on business as usual by being unapologetically awesome at making marketing FUN for small business owners. He rocks at explaining difficult-to-grasp marketing and web technology concepts, making them much less scary.
Nick’s small business marketing firm WTF Marketing has made marketing fun again for a large number of happy clients, including four distinct $2 million per year businesses and businesses of all sizes in his hometown of Fort Collins, Colorado and beyond. He leverages a decade of hands-on marketing experience in building community and helping businesses tell stories, alongside over 15 years of web design experience.
Just before his son Ryland was born in 2014, Nick created the small business web design firm Pixelated On Purpose to help small businesses start on the right foot online. He founded the Digital Gunslingers in 2009, teaching $5 classes on social media and marketing concepts and donating all the proceeds to charities in Fort Collins, Colorado. From 2011 to 2014, Nick organized, curated, and hosted the first TEDx in Northern Colorado, TEDxFoCo with 3 separate events. Nick now runs Ignite Fort Collins alongside favorite co-conspirator, Jana Knapp.
His other interests include Public Speaking and Audio Drama. Nick’s foray into audio drama started around the campfire with his grandfather and old tapes of The Shadow. Since then, Nick co-founded the audio drama production group Giant Gnome Productions and now serves as an Executive Producer. Nick is an avid public speaker and has delivered many humor-packed talks ranging in topic from small business to marketing etiquette to the Prime Directive. Check it out:
